Struzzi Announces Indiana County Office of Veterans Affairs Receives $20,000 in Grant Funding
March 6, 2019
HARRISBURG – Rep. Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana) announced the Indiana County Office of Veterans Affairs has received $20,000 of grant money through the Pennsylvania Veterans Trust Fund (VTF).
“This funding is so important to help connect our veterans with meaningful employment and to provide resources to ensure they have the opportunity to transition successfully back to civilian life,” said Struzzi. “No group is more deserving of our admiration than our veterans, and I congratulate the Indiana County Office of Veterans Affairs on receiving this much-deserved funding.”
The VTF is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and is funded by generous Pennsylvanians who voluntarily make a $3 donation when applying for or renewing their driver’s license, photo ID or a motor vehicle registration.
The fund also receives proceeds that come from the sale of the Honoring Our Veterans license plate and private donations.
Since the grant program began in 2013, almost $3.7 million has been awarded to organizations that serve Pennsylvania veterans.
